Cold Homicide Unit and TIP line

The El Cajon Police Department implemented a Cold Homicide Unit in 2003, after discovering several homicides that had been investigated at the time of the crime without closure.

The goal of the Cold Homicide Unit is to monitor and continue the investigation process on unsolved homicides, to reinvestigate older homicides as needed because of the continually changing technology.
