Carjacking - 515 N. Magnolia, El Cajon

Surveillance Photos Released


The El Cajon Police Department seeks community's assistance in identifying a carjacking suspect.

On October 14, 2007, at approximately 2045 hours, the victims stopped at the Shell gas station located at 515 N. Magnolia so a friend could buy a pack of cigarettes. As they were sitting in the car they were approached by the suspect who pulled a black revolver from his waist band.  The suspect claimed to be a police officer and ordered the victims out of their car.  The suspect then got into the vehicle and was last seen driving northbound on Magnolia. The stolen vehicle is described as a 2000 Honda Civic, 2 door, black in color, bearing California license plate 5SQN754. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, late 20’s to early 30’s, 5-07, weighing approximately 210 lbs.  He was wearing a light blue #23 Chargers Jersey and black pants.

Surveillance images of the suspect, and the red minivan with which he is affiliated, are shown below.  Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the vehicle is encouraged to contact Det. Holmes at (619) 579-3341.
